Faye slammed her locker shut and let out a big yawn. She was so worried now. Melissa hadn't shown up for any of our classes the whole week and it's Thursday. It's lunch and it's 10:51-11:37. Now it's 11:06, the disappointing part was Faye had nothing to do at all so she turned her back to the locker, stuck her earbuds in and slid down to a sitting position, listening to 'The Neighbourhood'.

I just finshed making up a test and was heading back to the lunch room when I walked past a hallway and saw Faye sitting on the floor. I debated on whether or not to go over there but I remembered that I wanted to ask her about Melissa since she was her best friend. I walked over to her and gently kicked her leg and smiled. "Hey." I said. I knew she would probably get mad but I was in the mood to joke.

Wires was probably one of Faye's favourite songs at the moment. She closed her eyes and let the music drown her hearing. It was the good kind of drowning. She felt something nudge her leg and she looked up. It was Diana, and she was mouthing something. What? She asked. Sure, it was completely ratchet to not even take the earbuds out but Faye was just extremely lazy today.

Was she really not going to take the headphones out? I made the gesture people make when they want someone to do that but Faye just didn't do it. I reached down and pulled them off of her. "Thats better." I said.

It came as a shock when Diana pulled the earbuds out. She usually wasn't gutsy like that. And to think, we were cool for a second. Faye swooped her hair to the side and unlocked her phone. She when to the music application and pressed pause and paused the music because it was still going when Diana pulled the buds out. So, any reason I have the pleasure of being in your company?

"I need to talk to you." I said and bent my legs so I was at eye level with Faye. "Whats up with Melissa? I haven't seen her in awhile." I told her.
